At what time of year should I give my pet heartworm and flea/tick prevention?
We recommend year-round treatment for heartworm, fleas and ticks. Heartworm is contracted through a bite from an infected mosquito, which can even be found on mild winter days. While fleas eventually die in the winter, ticks thrive in the cooler temperatures and can infect your dog with lyme disease as well as other tick-born diseases.
