Diagnostic imaging can be defined as the medical processes that capture images of the body. It provides a veterinarian with valuable information to make an accurate diagnosis. By having these images of internal organs, we don’t need to rely solely on physical exams when evaluating a pet’s condition and can more confidently diagnose and treat your pets.
Digital Radiography (X-rays)
This method is incredibly safe and allows our vets to quickly capture high quality diagnostic images. X-rays can be used in assessing orthopedic conditions, possible gastrointestinal obstructions, lung disease, and many other ailments. Since they are in digital format, we can share these images with clients and with other locations.
Ultrasounds
Ultrasounds are a non-invasive method to evaluate the internal organs of a pet. They are one of the best ways to assess a pet’s intestines, kidneys, liver, spleen, bladder, and other organs. Ultrasounds are sometimes critical to making an accurate diagnosis of a pet’s condition.
Digital radiography and ultrasound are available on-site at all three Everhart
