Integrative Medicine

Veterinarian medicine is not limited to only western practices. Many pet owners have been programmed to think that that medical treatment for pets only features the use of diagnostic tools like x-rays, various types of surgery, and dentistry. However, integrative medicine offers many alternative therapies, which stem from several traditional Chinese veterinary ideologies. This includes acupuncture, holistic and herbal treatments to help heal your pet.

Everhart Integrative Medicine Services

At Everhart, we combine “conventional medicine” with alternative modalities to further improve the overall health of our patients. Our integrative medicine services treat the whole pet not only to address the symptoms the pet is exhibiting but helps treat the cause of the illness. Our services address your pet’s overall health and well-being by taking the best of both worlds.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)

This type of integrative medicine originated in Asia and has been used for over 2,000 years. It combines acupuncture, herbal medicine, food therapy, Tui Na (Chinese, medical massage, and skeletal manipulation), and Qi Gong.

How Can It Help?

It can work with synergistically with conventional medicine to improve your pet’s well being. TCM treats muscular problems, immune-mediated disease, gastrointestinal disorders, reproductive disorders, paralysis, skin problems, asthma, anxiety, chronic diseases.
