Celebrate National Cat Lover’s Month!

Celebrate National Cat Lover’s Month!

It’s National Cat Lover’s Month! Here are a few ways to celebrate.

It’s National Cat Lover’s Month, a time when cat lovers across the country can celebrate the wonderful creature that is the cat. Cats have been domesticated for thousands of years, beloved as both an independent individual and a comforting companion. Amid the festivities of Christmas, Hanukkah, and other holidays this December, here’s how you can celebrate National Cat Lover’s Month this year!

Adopt a Cat

Unfortunately, hundreds of thousands of cats never find a forever home due to a vast population and not enough homes. According to American Humane, around 850,000 cats are euthanized each year because they never found a permanent home. A great way to celebrate National Cat Lover’s Month is to help be a solution to the problem and adopt a cat!

Take Your Cat to the Vet

Taking your cat to the vet for a check-up is another way to show your pet some love this month. The health of your cat is of utmost importance concerning cat care. Everhart Veterinary Medicine can advise on and help many aspects of your pet’s health, including diet, exercise, grooming, and much more.

Buy New Cat Toys & Furniture

When you love your cat, you desire to give it the best. When everyone else is getting presents, why not make this month a time to give your cat new toys and fresh furnishings? Cat toys are varied, creative, and engaging; one can find fishing toys, scratchers, climbing posts, tunnels, etc.!

Groom Your Cat

Another way to celebrate is to make your cat look extra fabulous with styled grooming. There are different types of cat haircuts, including the teddy bear, the lion cut, the panther cut, the comb cut, and the hygienic cut. Talk with your vet before going forth with a cat haircut this season.

Make It Memorable

There are plenty of other ways to celebrate National Cat Lover’s Month, such as a pet photoshoot, a “paint a pet portrait” day, and a pet party. Making art commemorating your pet is one way to showcase your love not just to your cat but also to the world. Have a happy celebration!
